Elizabeth (Betty) Archambault nee Kuntz passed away peacefully in Penticton on July 27, 2018.
Betty was born in Vibank, Saskatchewan on October 21, 1925. She came to Vancouver at the age of 14 and worked as a nanny until she was old enough to apply for a job at St. Paul's Hospital. It was here she met her husband, Rene. They were married in 1945 following his return from WWII in Europe.
They built their home and settled in Castlegar in 1947 where they lived for 69 years. Betty remained in the family home after Rene's death in 2001 until she moved to Penticton in 2016. She was an active member of St. Rita's church for many years.
Betty is survived by her 6 children: Arlane Jordan (Curt), Mark (Shirley), Lynn Bremmer (John), Lyle, Glenn (Edgar), and Carrie Johnston (Brad).
7 grandchildren: Kristin Johnson (Dan), Michelle Jordan (Chris), Sheri Griffin (Mike), Gerrett Archambault (Jess), Jamie Mucha (Jeff), Madison and Delaney Johnston. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Castlegar.
