It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsie Denisoff on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, blessed with 83 years of life.
Elsie was born in Glade, BC on December 4, 1934 to parents Annie and Pete Nichvolodoff. On December 18, 1954 Elsie married John Denisoff. Together they raised their 3 children Debbie, Jane and Danny.
Elsie spent her life cooking, baking, quilting, gardening, flower arranging, cake decorating, knitting, crocheting, painting and colouring. She was a true artist. Elsie had great love and empathy for the people in her community. She showed it by always helping and sharing food and love.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband John, grandson Shawn Girard, sisters Helen Howie, Pearl Kennedy, Katie Verigen, Tanis McLeod, nieces Shirley Chapman, Jeanie Bonderud and Maroosay Sapriken, and nephews Craig McLeod, Sydney Denisoff and Ron Campbell.
Left to celebrate Elsie's life is her daughter Debbie (Rob) Girard, their daughters Melanie (Shawn) Loxton, and Jennifer (Sam Morris) Girard; her daughter Jane (Gerald) Gulka, their sons Logan and Reece Gulka, and great granddaughter Charlette Lena; her son Danny (Sue) Denisoff, their daughters Ashley Denisoff and Nicky Denisoff, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at Castlegar Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 25, 2018, followed by interment at the Glade Cemetery.
