Evelyn Dixie Arrance (née Kennedy) passed away peacefully at Talarico Place in Castlegar BC, June 9, 2010 blessed

with 79 years of life.

Mom was born on December 18, 1930 in

Rossland, BC to parents Evelyn and Robert Kennedy. She was an only child. She spent many happy years in South Slocan and Bonnington at “the Pool” where she loved to swim the rapids, target shoot and fish.

She attended both Junior and High School in Nelson, BC and also went to Business College there. For the majority of her life she worked in many small logging towns throughout BC. Mom and her husband Chuck settled in Lardeau in 1979. She started and successfully

ran her corner store the “Lardeau Mini Mart” and then, to be closer to family, in 1997, they moved to Tarrys, BC.

Mom had many passionate interests. She loved her flower gardens, reading, crocheting, panning for gold, and she was also an avid supporter for

the BC Wildlife Association. Her passing has left a void in the lives of her many friends, family and her loving dog Micky. We will miss her and her wonderful sense of humour.

She is survived by her husband Chuck, her four children; Gloria (Rick) Simpson, Lyall (Debbie) Mullaney, Donna Munro and Clifford (Lea) Mullaney, step-son Raymond (Bev) Arrance and step-daughter Lana (Rockey) Dick.

She will also be sadly missed by her

great-grandchildren and fifteen grandchCindy, Michelle, Kim, Lisa, Christian, Angie, Jessie, Clifford, Laurie, Debbie, Shauna, Ray-

mond, Adam, Chuck, Stephanie and Timmy.

Mom is also survived by her brother Craig (Darlene) Kennedy, three nephews; Tommy,

Michael and Sean (Sarah) and niece Sara.

She is going to join step-mother Lena Kennedy, brother Brent Kennedy and grandson Vince Mullaney.

The family would like to send special thanks to neighbours Tammy and James Kirtzinger and Chuck’s sisters, Lucille and Toody for all their kindness and dedication in helping to care for

Mom in her time of need.

Our family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the caring and considerate staff at Talarico Place for providing Mom with such compassionate care and comfort during her illness.

A Clan family gathering will be held on

July 25, 2010, at 2287 Highway 3A followed by Farewell at “the Pool” as per Mom’s wishes as there will be no funeral by request.
