Frances Isabel Hunter
June 1, 1917 - March 24, 2009
Funeral services were held Tuesday, march 31, 2009 for the late Frances Hunter at the Castlegar United Church, Rev. Ann Pollack officiating. Frances was an active member of the Castlegar United Church. She was involved in running the St. David's Thrift Shop for many years and was a member of the Castlegar Senior Citizens.
Predeceased by her husband of 53 years Robert Hunter, Frances is survived by 3 daughters Joan Holt of Kimberly, Gwen (Don) Olderness of Kimberly, Lorraine (Henry) DeRosa of Castlegar, and 2 sons, Alan (Dianne) Hunter of Quesnel and Bruce (Chris) Hunter of Victoria. She will also be missed by her grandchildren and their and their spouses and 5 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Rev. Pollack and the congregation at the Castlegar United Church, especially those who gave Frances rides to church: to Liz and Terry Fleet for their friendship and special poem "Frances": to Dr. Keith Merritt for his care in her last days and to all the staff at Castlewood Village for their care of Frances in the last four years.
