Fred John Bojey was born in Winlaw, BC on April 1, 1941 to John & Helen Bojey. Fred was a younger brother to his siblings Alex and Polly. Fred married Agnes Swetlocoe on Oct. 6, 1962. They had 2 children - Naomi & Jason.€

Fred will be remembered for using his technical skills and knowledge to teach and to help anyone who asked - anything that was asked of him was "No Problem".

Funeral Services to honuor Fred's passing were held at the Brilliant Cultural Centre on Friday, February 16th, 2018 with interment at the Brilliant Cemetery. Family and friends celebrated Fred's life that same evening at the family home in Brilliant.

Fred's family, Jason, Leah, Haily and Tahlia Bojey, and Naomi and Greg Popoff, and granddaughter Jasmine Popoff and partner Garlen Wilkinson, wish to thank all of those who sent their heart felt condolences by way of food and flowers and personal visits to our homes this past week. All of the messages of respect and love for our father that you posted on Facebook warmed our hearts and we appreciated you all sharing your personal stories which demonstrated the connections made with Fred over the years.

We would like to thank Fred's long time friend, Peter Relkoff, for leading the traditional Doukhobor funeral service. Thank you to Jordan Wren of Personal Alternatives - the Castlegar Funeral Chapel, for his kindness and caring in looking after our needs.

We would like to thank Peter Perepolkin and John Kalmakov for creating the memory folder .€Peter Perepolkin (of Biznet) also printed and framed the wonderful photos of our father, that were displayed on the casket.

A huge thanks to the USCC Ladies Catering Group for a wonderful luncheon. Thank you to all of the singers and psalmists, Gerry Hoodicoff and the rest of the grave diggers along with Coleman Excavating.

And a very special Thank you to our "brothers and sisters" who are our family support system.€ Please note that any donations in Fred's memory can be made to the USCC and applied specifically to the Brilliant Cultural Centre Sound and Lighting Fund as this fund was initially created by Fred and he contributed copious amounts of time providing lighting and sound for events at the Centre.

Fred Bojey had a talent for making connections with people. He will be sadly missed by family and his Family of Friends.
