Fred Nick Horcoff, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, in Victoria, BC. Born on February 12, 1938, in Castlegar, BC, Fred lived a life full of love, dedication, and remarkable achievements.

Fred attended college for a year and went on to pursue a career in the pulp and paper industry. His hard work and dedication to this field are known to many.

Fred was a fierce competitor in sports and become a world-class fastball pitcher, earning his place in the Softball Hall of Fame. His athletic prowess extended to basketball, where he was very competitive in his younger years.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Horcoff, and their children, Theresa, Rodney, and Juli. He was a proud grandfather to Tyler, Hannah, Braydon, Connor, and Owen. Fred was predeceased by his mother Florence and father Nick and younger brother, Tim.

A dedicated family man, Fred always put his family first. He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing, gardening, and enjoying nature. His loyal dog, Rusty, will miss him dearly, as Freds right-hand man.

Fred loved the Horcoff farm and cherished all the memories with all his family and grandchildren. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loving family and friends
