It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Kabatoff. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Talarico Place in Castlegar. George was born on April 9, 1936 in Nelson, BC to John and Annie Kabatoff. He attended school at Tarry's Elementary and Stanley Humphries.
George worked at Burns Lumber (Passmore), Kootenay Forest Products (Nelson) and Celgar (Castlegar).
George married Olga Osachoff on October 1, 1955. They had three sons - Gordon, Gerry and Jim.
George was predeceased by his parents John and Annie Kabatoff, siblings John, Winnie and Marie, son Gerry and granddaughter Shannon. George is survived by his wife Olga, sons Gordon (Sandra), Jim (Lydia), grandchildren Sheila, Rebecca, Rachel, (Mesake), Jackie, and Josie, and great-grandchildren Noah and Wini.
The family would like to thank all the staff, nurses and doctors at Talarico Place.
