The Lord called George Kozak home to be with Him. George was born February 7, 1928 in Smokey Lake, Alberta and passed away on February 1st at Poplar Ridge Pavilion in Trail. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. George went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his beloved wife, Lillian.
He is survived by his children: Harvey (Carol), Lorna (Michael), Glenn (Christine), Ralph (Lori), Morris (Leanna). Grandchildren: Tamara, Angela (Rob), Lannette (Ruben), Chelsea (Owen), Jason, Alicia, Julie and Charles. Step- grandchildren: Tara, Jared and Steven. Great-grandchildren: Elijah, Sam, Jayden, Marcus, Amelia, Alejandro, Orlando, Anna and Zenith. He is predeceased by Leonard, Gerald, and Lannette.
George was strongly dedicated to the church and to the community. He was a painter/decorator by trade and operated his own business. He was also known as one of the best paperhangers in town! He loved to hunt and fish outdoors and play his harmonica/ accordion. Most of all George loved spending time with his family, friends and his beloved dogs, Sandy and Chico.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Poplar Ridge Pavilion who took care of George with love and dignity.
His celebration of life was held on Wednesday February 5th at 11 am at Kinnaird Park Community Church.
