With sad and heavy hearts, we wish to announce the passing of George Philip Plotnikoff of Thrums, at his home, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the age of 63 years.
George was born in Trail, on August 16, 1955 to parents Olga and Philip Plotnikoff. He attended school locally and during his working life was employed as a bodyman, a sawmill labourer, a truck driver for Labatt's Brewery, and after his trucking career with West K he went driving truck for Dell Transport. He married Kathy Harcoff and they raised one son. George enjoyed playing fastball, cooking, fishing and gardening.
George was predeceased by his beloved wife Kathy and his father Philip.
Left to mourn his loss is his son Jesse (Brittani) and grandchildren Kalina and Maverick, his mother Olga, his girlfriend Judy, his sisters Olga (Mike), Marilyn (Phil) and Larissa (Jim), many nieces and nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cartwright's Pub on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Drop in between 2 pm and 5 pm and bring your best George stories.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to the Jumpstart program at Canadian Tire.
