It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Robinson on the morning of February 18, 2025 in Castlegar, BC.
George was born in Nelson, BC and grew up in Kaslo, BC where he developed his love for the mountains and outdoors. George obtained his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Education from UBC. He was a teacher for 33 years and taught in 100 Mile House, Kamloops and finally in Castlegar where he was known as GB George a teacher who relieved the boredom of school.
George loved his family, the outdoors, reading, thinking and keeping up on current events. He enjoyed sharing his passion for the outdoors with his family and friends. He enjoyed cross country skiing, fishing, hunting, mountaineering, golf, and growing a large garden with his wife Sandra.
George is survived by his wife Sandra, his three children, James, Jesslyn and Gaetana (Allen), as well as four grandchildren, Brook (Hannah), Erin (Aaron), Roslyn and Zoe, and two great grandchildren, Kashton and Colter.
George was a generous, kind and gentle man. He will be deeply missed.
