Forever in our Hearts
In loving memory of our dear George Herbert Townsend.
It is with broken hearts that we announce George's sudden passing after a short battle with cancer. George was born to John (Jack) and Mary Townsend. He had three siblings, Maxine the oldest, Bob and Sheila. George was born on April 20, 1941 at Trail hospital and was raised in Castlegar, BC where he attended school.
George was predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Mary Townsend and sister Maxine.
Remembering with love are his partner Sylvia, Yvonne, Janneh and Mark, Colin and Kenneth, his brother Bob and sister Sheila, and his extended family and many friends.
Family Chain
We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly;
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
