With heavy hearts the family of George Wishlow wish to announce his sudden passing at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on December 14, 2018.
George was born May 17, 1939 at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson to parents George and Helen Wishlow of Slocan Park. On December 8, 1962 he married Louise Androsoff and together raised their two daughters Angela and Jordi.
George was employed for many years at Pope and Talbot and will be remembered for his over the top antics and unique version of "Wackbards" English. His passion was fishing, fishing and more fishing, not to mention playing the slots at Chewelah. George loved his cats and took great joy in spoiling them with treats.
George will be greatly missed by his special coffee partner Elsie Campbell, not to mention his buddies at Chevron and Shoppers who enjoyed his routine friendly bantering with his "Georg-isms". He always brought a smile to many with his quirky quotes.
George was predeceased by his wife Louise and brother Walter.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Castlegar Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 7, 2018 from 11:00 to 12:00.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ISKRA or the Local SPCA.
