It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Sookerukoff, who departed from this world on September 23, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Helen was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family and her enduring kindness to all who knew her.
Most of all, Helen was a dedicated mother and Baba who poured her heart and soul into nurturing her children and grandchildren. She was not only our mother and baba, but also our confidante, our protector, and our greatest source of strength. Helen enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and gardening.
Helen is survived by her children, Darlene (Pat), Carole, Rick (Dasha), and Bev (Warren). In addition, she is survived by 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Trent, Allison, Jordan, and 6 cherished great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy into her life.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Peter Sookerukoff, and her daughter, Cindy Ozeroff.
The family will be holding a private memorial service.
Rest in peace, dear Mom, Baba, Aunty, and friend. You will forever be loved and remembered.
