Jack Kazakoff

April 11, 1920 - December 29, 2008

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Kazakoff, at the Creston Valley Hospital, at 88 years old. Memorial services were held in Castlegar on January 2, 2009 with internment at Perry’s Siding Cemetery.

Jack was born to Mabel and Pete Kazakoff, in Veregin, Sask., grew up in Melonyk, Sask., and married Vera Osachoff in 1952. They lived in Princeton and Chilliwack, the Slocan Valley, moving to Thrums in 1993. A few years after mom’s passing, Dad moved to Creston to be closer to family in his senior years.

Jack was predeceased by his wife, Vera in 1994, parents Mabel and Pete, brothers Pete, Joe, sisters Mildred, Annnie, Mary, neice Carol and nephew John.

Those left to mourn him are his children Elizabeth, Helen, Lawrence (Gailene), grandchildren Ria (Don), Lindsay, Karlene (Tyler), Leanne (Rory), Colin (Kyla), great-grandchildren Ethan and Mikayla, many nieces and nephews, and one sister, Lena.

Our beloved father and Deda will be greatly missed. Lord, please welcome his spirit into everlasting life.

The family of Jack Kazakoff wish to thank all the relatives and friends who helped us with the funeral; the pall bearers, cooks, gravediggers. Thank you also to Bill and staff at the Castlegar Funeral Chapel, and all the family and friends that supported us with prayers, words of comfort, and phone calls.
