Jacob Alexander Kroppatchak

March 10, 1928 - August 10, 2019
Jacob passed away peacefully in the Trail hospital at the young age of 91.
He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba; moving to Surrey in 1979 to reside with his sister. After her passing, Jacob moved to the Kootenays in 1999 with longtime friends of the family. Jacob joined the Kootenay Society for Community Living family in 2004.
Jacob enjoyed curling, bird and plane watching. His favorite cartoon character was Popeye, although Jacob hated spinach. You could find Jacob watching game shows, or the evening news. If he wasn't doing any of that you defiantly heard him singing or humming.
Jacob will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him, especially his beloved dog Brownie.
Open house will be held September 6, 2019 at Kootenay Columbia House, 114 10th Avenue in Castlegar between 12 pm and 3 pm.
If Jacob were here, he would thank the staff at Home Nursing for their dedication and patience over the years. Thank you to all the staff at KBRH, first responders and all the people with Kootenay Society for Community Living for all the wonderful care and love he received over the years.
