John was born April 8, 1928 in Gravelbourg Saskatchwan and passed away peacefully in Castlegar on March 1, 2016.
He was predeceased by his wife Mona, his parents, one brother and one sister.
He leaves behind 4 children, Bob, Dan (Jamie), Johnine (Frank) and Randy. As well as 3 step sons, Terry, Roy and Mike, numerous grand children, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Some of John’s passions were listening to CBC radio with his beloved dog Teatree and talking politics. He was a lifetime member of the NDP.
He enjoyed his garden and sharing his tomatoes. He also made the best chocolate chip cookies. His greatest joys were his many grandchildren.
