John S. Kalesnikoff was born in Champion Creek on April 26, 1927, to Sam and Tina Kalesnikoff where he grew up with older brother Sam and younger siblings Bill and Emma.
He married Pearl Postnikoff in 1947 and together they raised 3 children, John, Ilean, and Bill.
His entire working life from the age of 12 was spent in the family business, Kalesnikoff Brothers/Kalesnikoff Lumber ending his work life there as a planerman and saw filer.
The family moved to Glade Central in 1953, then to Tarrys in 1972 where he lived until his move to Castlewood Village in 2021.
John was a lifetime USCC member, where he was active in the men's working group in his later years. Throughout his life he loved gardening, woodworking and operating heavy equipment.
He passed away on January 7, 2022 leaving behind his 3 children and their spouses and 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
