PARR: On Tuesday, May 12, 2009 Karl Franklin Parr of Castlegar passed away in Kootenay Lake Hospital at the age of 92 years. He was born in Ontario to Harry and Eva Parr. He met and married Florence Lewis on May 4, 1938. They moved to Castlegar in 2002. Mr. loved horses, sports and was a gym master in school. They enjoyed spending the winters down south. Besides his loving wife of 71 years, Mr. Parr is lovingly remembered by two sons Lionel (Mary) of Peterborough, Ontario, Paul (Beverley) of Stouffville, Ontario, a daughter Fay Krajnc of Castlegar, grandchildren: Shane, April, Tyler, Kristin, Amy, Scott, Brant, Randy and Alicia, great grandchildren Justine, Joclyne, Shelby, Mackenzie, Alexander, Landon, Mason, Tristan, Kayla, Brittany, Breanne and Lexie, many nieces and nephews. One son Bobby, two brothers and a sister predeceased him. A Service of Remembrance will be held later in Ontario. Cremation has taken place.
