May 30, 1944 - June 30, 2021
Larry Raymond Dolgopol was born on May 30, 1944 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Larry sadly passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in Trail, BC after a short battle with cancer.
Larry will be forever missed by his family and friends.
Larry grew up in Elkwater, Alberta in a large family. From a young age, Larry enjoyed the outdoors including a passion for hunting and fishing. Larry became a tradesman in Alberta and then moved with his family to Castlegar, BC in the early 1970's where he ran his own heating and air conditioning business for over 45 years. Larry had a reputation for being able to fix almost anything and was always lending a hand to others. Larry moved to Salmo in the early 2000's to pursue his dream of owning and running his own ranch. Larry lived by the saying, "Whoever dies with the most toys wins", enjoying the variety of toys he had over the years. He had great times cruising the roads on his Harley, the lakes on his boats, and climbing the Kootenay hills on his snowmobile.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Emma Dolgopol, his brother, Bob Dolgopol, and his loving wife, Susan Pearson.
Larry is survived by his loving sons Trent (Cari), Clint (Kayo), his grandson Dillan, his granddaughters Jessica and Kana, his brothers Cecil and Bill, his sisters Shirley Metz and Rose Reuber, his close friend Janet Thompson, as well as many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for both Larry Dolgopol and Susan Pearson will be held in the near future. Please email Clint Dolgopol at clint.dolgopol@gmail.com if you are interested in attending.
