She was 93 years of age and played an important role in the Doukhobor community as the wife of John J. Verigin, CM, OBC, who served as Honorary Chairman of the Union of Spiritual Communities of Christ until his passing in 2008.
A traditional Doukhobor funeral, open to the public, will be held in Grand Forks on Friday evening March 6th beginning at 7 pm and Saturday, March 7th beginning at 10 am at the USCC Community Centre, continuing in Castlegar at the Brilliant Cultural Centre Saturday evening beginning at 7 pm and Sunday morning beginning at 10:00 am.
Interment will be at Verigin Memorial Park on Sunday, March 8th in the afternoon.
