December 30, 1940 - April 8, 2020
LaVerna, Vern, or Mom born to Ralph and Gladys Briggeman, grew up on the shores the Arrow Lakes at Deer Park B.C where hard work was the way of life along with pleasant annual trips on the S.S Minto travelling up or down the Arrow Lakes.
Mom was interested in many different crafts over the years ranging from macrame, ceramics, crocheting, needle point, and cake decorating. However her love for sewing and quilting was with her to the end.
Over the years Mom enjoyed her Red Hat outing's and many hours of quilting with the quilting gang out at the Brilliant Cultural Center.
She also enjoyed volunteering at the Hospital Auxiliary.
She is predeceased by her brother Le Roy in 1997 and by her loving husband Norman D'Andrea (March 1999)
LaVerna is survived by three grand children and one great-grandson: Melisa, Ashley, Dylan, and Carson. Daughter Dianna D'Andrea (Tim) Kelowna, son Dwayne D'Andrea (Nancy) Castlegar, brothers Glen Briggeman (Debbie) Oyama, Grant Briggeman (Chris) Fruitvale BC, also many more cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to thank the all of the amazing staff at the Popular Ridge Extended Care Facility they are definitely heroes that do great work.
