It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorna Sherstobitoff on February 20th. Lorna was born July 27th, 1932 in Glade BC to Ely and Molly Kooznetsoff . Lorna met Alex in Glade and they were married on February 10th, 1952. Last year they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Lorna and Alex resided in Glade where they raised their four children Nettie (Raymond) Thomas, Naida (Guido) Vecchio, Marilyn (Roger) Robinson and Ken (Eva) Sherstobitoff. They were blessed with 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Lorna enjoyed gardening and took great pride in taking care of her many flowers. Lorna and Alex enjoyed going camping and taking trips to visit their children and grandchildren. They also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii with friends during the winter months. Lorna was a long-time member of the USCC and volunteered for many activities and fundraisers.
The family would like to thank friends Heather McIntyre and Jim Derksen for their assistance with Lorna due to her worsening dementia, before her and Alex moved to Castle Wood in 2017 and later to Talarico. The family would also like to thank all the staff at Talarico and Castle Wood for the compassionate care Lorna received in her final years.
