In loving memory ~
1939 - 2025
On June 18 Lorne left to go fishing. He leaves on shore his wife Bernice, son Rocky (Deborah), daughter Deb (Jim), granddaughter Heather (Brandon), grandson Colin (Tess), special cousins Myrna and Melvin and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. He joins his parents, Walter and Vera, brother Richard, sister Joyce, daughter Brenda and other family members who predeceased him.
Lorne was a man of many talents, a graduate of the school of hard knocks, he was resourceful with an entrepreneurial spirit despite his limited formal education. He knew early on that farming was not for him and left his family home in Shining Bank, AB to make his way as a heavy equipment operator. Lorne had a strong work ethic; a proud member of the Operating Engineers. He loved his workshop and spent hours creating, designing and engineering gadgets.
He cared deeply for his family, sometimes seemed a little rough around the edges, but inside was a big teddy bear.
His family extends sincere thanks to Dr Vasil and the staff of Talarico Place in Castlegar for the wonderful care he received.
