Lorraine Angela Hoskins (nee: Martini) of Castlegar, B.C., passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023, in Nelson Hospital.
Lorraine was born May 8, 1934, in Trail to Gabriel and Mary Martini. She resided in Trail for 8 years before the family made Castlegar their home. Lorraine worked in Victoria for BC Tel then moved to Calgary where she worked for oil companies. A friend introduced Lorraine to the love of her life, Dillon Hoskins. They were married in May 1981, and briefly lived in Victoria before they settled in Castlegar to enjoy being surrounded by family.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Dillon James Hoskins on August 18, 2008. Lorraine is survived by her two brothers, Rudy (Dorothy) and Richard (Joan) and she was dear to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lorraine and Dillon enjoyed many years travelling, camping, and fishing. Fond memories always included family, friends, and the outdoors.
Lorraine and family are grateful for the excellent love and care she received from the staff at Castlewood and Nelson Hospital. Her family will hold a quiet Celebration of Life in her memory.
