It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our husband, father and grandfather.
Louis is survived by his wife Verna, daughters Valerie (Willie) Polukoshko; Joyce (Ken) Streloff and grandchildren Lukus (Michaela) and Maya; Louise (Harry) Sapriken and grandchildren Darcy and Olivia.
Louis was born to Bill and Mary Zaytsoff in Castlegar and raised in Pass Creek, BC. He had two brothers, Carl and Larry. Louis and Verna raised their family on a parcel of the family farm. He loved camping, fishing, working on the farm and spending time with family and friends. He was also a big fan of most sports.
The family would like to thank Dr. Scotland and his oncology staff, Dr. Ankenbauer, the emergency staff at Trail hospital and the ambulance attendants for their care and compassion. We are also grateful for the community and Grand Forks Funeral home for helping with his service and burial.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Crescent Valley Hall. Burial followed at the Pass Creek Cemetery with lunch at Crescent Valley Hall.
