Louise Loff (nee Konkin) matriculated from the University of Cancer on
June 26, 2010 surrounded by love and loved ones. The transition from this world to the next was blessedly peaceful.
Louise was born July 27, 1940 in Brilliant, B.C. She married Carl Bernard Loff in 1957 and survived him by eight years. Louise was passionate about cooking and reportedly made the best borscht in the Kootenays.
She is survived by her four children: Bonnie (Edwin) Ford, Debra (John) MacLellan, Patricia Loff, and Shawn (Charmaine) Loff. She will be missed by her seven grandchildren: Michael, Amanda, Casey, Meghan, Taylor, Kori and Harli; and five great grandchildren.
Louise is also survived by sisters, Martha, Katie, Betty, Marianne and brother, Gary as well as her many nieces and nephews.
She will join brothers, John, Walter, mother, Mary Konkin and husband, Bernie.
The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Talarico Place for their kindness and compassion during Louise’s final days as well as Dr. Josee Lesperance for her wise counsel during the term of our Mother’s illness.
By request, there will be no funeral.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to extend a heartfelt act of kindness at your next opportunity.
