In loving memory ~
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lucy Voykin on January 25, 2023, at Talarico Place. She was blessed with 88 years of life.
Lucy is survived by her daughter Katherine Markin; her daughter and son-in-law Natasha and Floyd Verigin; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Voykin in 2017; a daughter Verna in infancy; a daughter and son-in-law Marion and Andy Sapriken and a son-in-law Walter Markin.
Funeral services for Lucy were held at the Brilliant Cultural Centre on February 1, 2023 and interment followed at the Pass Creek Cemetery.
Lucy's family is very grateful to Dr. Vasil and all the staff at Talarico Place for the loving, compassionate care they provided for mom throughout her stay there.
Thank you to everyone who brought food, flowers or sent condolences to our homes. A heartfelt thank you to all who attended mom's funeral and/or helped in any way. A special thank you to Ernie Verigin for so ably conducting the service; Bill Strilaeff and the Castlegar Funeral Home for your guidance and help and John J. Verigin for your kind words of solace to our family.
May God grant mom eternal peace in his heavenly kingdom.
