Verigin, Mabel(nee Soloveoff) passed away peacefully Feb 1,2010 in Vancouver General Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years Lawrence, her sister Helen Taskchuck(Les), her children Patti Rowley(Peter) and Mark Verigin(Angela) as well as many extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Pete & Tina Soloveoff, her brothers Peter, Paul & Harry Soloveoff and her sister Liska Miller. Born in Pass Creek, BC on April 28, 1935 she grew up in the West Kootenays. Mabel married Lawrence in Trail, BC. and had a daughter Patti, followed by a son Mark. The family constructed a beautiful custom home in 1963 where their children would grow up and Mabel & Lawrence would reside until the current day. Mabel will be remembered by so many for her exceptional talents in tailoring, weaving, quilting and many other crafts. She used those skills to create and operate several successful businesses. Mabel was a loving and caring person who loved to travel and spend time with her family. She will be dearly missed. A service to celebrate Mabel's life will be held at the Pentecostal New Life Assembly at 602 7th St. in Castlegar at 11:00am on February 12. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mabel's memory to a charity of your choice.
