Madaline Beatrice Minnie Courville died peacefully in her home at Castlewood Village in Castlegar, British Columbia, on January 24, 2009 in her 93rd year. She was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice Brooks, her father Vernon Kelso, her husband Dr. Clifford Arthur Courville and her brother, Jack Eselmont.
Dear mother of Denise, Leo (Jean), Delphine (Tracy) and David (Heather). Beloved grandmother of Nichole, Todd (Rocio),Danielle, Sasha (Martin), Aaron (Joelle), Christopher, Iain, Thomas, Robert, Bryony, Justin, Nathan and Alisa. Cherished great grandmother of Tanner, Tyrese, Dante, Benito, Lily-Mai, Isabella, Sophie, Matteo and Finn.
Madaline was born in Edgewood, British Columbia in November 1916 and resided in the West Kootenays throughout her life.
Following her husband’s death in 1964, Madaline started a career in advertising in the local print and radio media that continued until her retirement in 1976.
A memorial service to honour Madaline’s life was held Friday, January 30, 2009 at Castlegar Funeral Chapel.
