It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Margaret Blanche Winter.

Margaret was born February 3, 1929 in

Calgary, Alberta and passed away September 7, 2010 in Castlegar, B.C.


During her life, she worked in many different locations in Alberta and B.C., and was renowned for her office management and book keeping skills.


She was an avid reader and loved music, art, and all things in nature. Devoted to her church, she taught a popular bible study group for many years.


Margaret is survived by her loving sister; Norma Waldron, a cousin; Courtland Linton and a second cousin; Edna Cooper. She is predeceased by her father; Norman Fallon, her mother; Ella Mae Waldron; step-father; Alfred Waldron, an aunt; Millicent Linton and two uncles; Allan Smith and Oswald Smith.


In loving memory of Margaret, a memorial service will be held at New Life Assembly, 602-7th Street, Castlegar, B.C. on Monday September 20, 2010, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Dwight Soleski officiating. Refreshments to follow downstairs.


Her sister would like to sincerely thank Dr. Ankenbauer, Dr. Merritt, the home care nurses, home support, hospice, the staff at Talarico place, and Personal Alternative Funeral Services for their guidance and unfailing help during this difficult time.


In Margaret’s memory, donations would be greatly appreciated to the charity of your choice.
