Margaret Lehbauer passed away at Poplar Ridge at Kootenay Boundary Hospital on June 3, 2011.
Margaret was born in St. Catherine’s Ontario, one of thirteen children. In her adult years she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she married and had one child, Suzanne. The family lived on Vancouver Island for a short time and then moved to the Yukon where Margaret fell in love with the beautiful territory. She eventually moved back to BC and lived in Castlegar for the past 25 years.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Suzanne, beloved grandson Alexander and three sisters, Pat, Kathy and Joan.
The Celebration of Life arrangements were made through Castlegar Funeral Chapel with a reception at the Fireside Hotel & Conference Centre.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Poplar Ridge for their care and support, the very special friends who came and supported Suzanne and stayed with Margaret during her last days and the Castlegar and Trail Hospice volunteers who are true angels.
