Margaret Mary Johnson of Castlegar passed away on Thursday October 7, 2010 at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail at the age of 83 years.
Margaret was born November 26, 1926 at Lake Alma, Saskatchewan. She lived in Saskatchewan until 1945 when she moved to Trail, BC and worked at the hospital. In 1958 she moved to Vancouver where she took her training and worked at Children’s Hospital. She later moved to
Chilliwack and then to Castlegar in 1997. During her life, she had many hobbies, including knitting, crocheting and crafts, but her numerous petit points were her works of art.
She will be sadly missed by Jean Gray and her family, her nephew, Wayne (Anita), nieces; Sandra (Don), Cheryl
(Gregg) and Sheila (Russ) and many nieces and nephews on the prairies.
Margaret was predeceased by her 3 brothers, 3 sisters; including Belle Gray, and her special nephew Donald Gray. In her later years, Margaret was very appreciative of her friend Jeannette Podoveinikoff and good neighbors Bill and Jean Baturin.
There will be no service at Margaret’s request. Castlegar Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
