Mary Terry passed away peacefully February 9,2010 at Talarico Place at the age of 84.
Mary was born in Campbell’s Bay, Quebec in 1926. She moved to Barrie Ontario as a young girl with her mother and siblings. There she met Edgar Terry of Alliston and they married and had 3 children. Mary was a hard worker and held many jobs. Her Longest employment was with Loblaws in the meat department. After her retirement in 1976 she devoted most of her time to her grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening, ceramics, and knitting. Her favorite pastime was attending Bingo. In 1987 Mary and her husband retired to British Columbia to be closer to their children.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob(Kathleen) Terry, daughters;Linda Daviau and Carol Russell( John Duncan), six grandchildren,
eight great grandchildren, and brothers: Don Belanger of Kelowna and Bud(Pearl) Belanger of Barrie Ont and sister-in-laws Agnes and May and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Edgar in 2006, and her brothers: Arnold, Eugene, Raymond and sister Estelle.
To all those who showered our Mother with tender love and kindness we will be forever grateful. A special thank you from the family to Dr. J. Lesperance for all the care and attention given to Mary.
Memorial Services were held at Sandman Inn Castlegar BC on Sunday February 14,2010. Mary’s final resting place will be St. Mary’s Cemetery in Barrie Ontario.
