It is with great sadness that family of Mary Wallace announce her peaceful passing on March 19,2010 at Talarico Place Care Centre.
Mary was born in Elsmere, Manitoba on August 14, 1909. In 1932 she married Donald Mclean Wallace. They moved out west and settled in Castlegar in 1940. After her husband's passing in 1984 Mary moved to Kimberly where she resided for 17 years. Returning to Castlegar in 2001, she moved to Castlewood where she enjoyed 5 wonderful years. In 2006 she moved to Talarico Place.
Mary was a devoted housewife, mother,grandmother and friend who enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping and nature. Her greatest assets were her positive outlook on life and her sense of humor. Mary loved everyone and everything.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald M. Wallace, daughter Ellen O'Leary and son Ewan Wallace.
Mary is survived by her children Dorothy McMillan of Brandon, MB; Don A. Wallace(Marlene); Mima Quigley(Sam) both of Castlegar, daughter-in-law Joy Wallace of Princeton,B.C., as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
A very special Thank You to Dr. Ankenbauer and all the staff at Talarico Place for the care, attention and love shown to Mary in her final years.
