It is with great sadness the families of Michael Molnar announce his passing at Talarico Place due to complications from Covid 19. Michael was born in Nordegg, Alberta to Bertalan and Anna Molnar. He moved to Trail in 1956, where he worked various jobs. He met his wife Sharen (Spance) and they married in June of 1959. Their daughter Sherry was born in 1960, and son Stacy in 1962.
The family moved to Castlegar, where Michael worked for Celgar for many years. Michael and Sharen started their own business in 1970 - 2015 known as Mike's Mobile homes (Mike's RV Ranch). Sadly, Sharen passed away in 1997 from cancer.
Michael met his second wife Janet Maureen Salekin in 2000. They shared 22 years together, and enjoyed a lot of travelling and spending time with grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his wife Maureen and her family. His daughter Sherry(Ken), son Stacy(Tracey) and grandsons Alexander, Adam(Nicole) and Casey. Sister Violet Krest, sister in- law Mary Molnar, and various nephews and nieces. Michael was predeceased by his parents, first wife Sharen, brothers Bert and Jim, brother in-law Albert, and sister-in law, Lily.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Michael's name to the Castlegar Legion #170, or the Alzheimer Society of BC.
The families want to thank the caregivers and staff at Talarico Place for the great care given to Michael over the last 2 years. Special thanks to Dr. Jensen and Suzanne Lehbauer (Castlegar Hospice). The Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
