Morgan: Mike of Oasis and formerly of Castlegar, passed away peacefully at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on February 1, 2009. He was born in Hyas, Saskatchewan on May 2, 1926.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Yvonne, and his daughter Bonne of Victoria.
Mike was stationed in England during WWII, and served in North Africa and Ortona, Italy in the Army. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, logging, and was a fishing guide in Campbell River.
A Legion Service will be held at Carberry’s Chapel in Trail on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. All Veterans and Legionnaire Members please attend. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services Carberry’s Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
