Born Michael John Kanigan in Nelson, BC to Mike and Ann Kanigan.
Our friend, Mike, grew up in Kinnaird and upon graduating from S.H.S.S. in Castlegar, began logging and sawmilling in the local area.
Mike moved to Edmonton AB and was employed in the welding/fabricating trade until his retirement.
Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, motorcycling and hanging out with his friends.
Intelligent, honest, straight shooter, quick witted, humorous. Mike will be sadly and greatly missed by those who knew him, a sharing and kind soul.
Huge thanks to wonderful friends Arnold and Kim of Edmonton AB, who unselfishly and tirelessly helped Mike in his final days.
