She was known for her beautiful quilts and made many for the community. She was also known for her borscht and cooked at many weddings and funerals. She loved her garden and could not imagine living without one.
Her soil was freshly tilled on the Sunday before her death. She died on Monday May 17, 2010 of heart failure at the age of 81.
She was predeceased by her husband John
