Natalie Voykin (Podovinikoff) passed peacefully on March 9, 2019 at the age of 81 years. Natalie was born April 28, 1937 to parents Joe and Florence Podovinikoff in Slocan Park, BC.
Natalie is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by her family and husband Bill Voykin of 63 years, children Daniel Voykin (Deb Kaus), Paris Voykin (Mike Johnston), Kathie (Greg) Patterson, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brothers Joe (Shirley) Podovinikoff, and Gabriel (Wendy Murdock) Podovinikoff.
Natalie's passions included her family and friends, singing, cooking, flowers, writing. She was a peace activist and author of a children's book "A Gift of Peace" and had published poetry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Brilliant Cultural Center on Monday March 18, 2019 at 10 am, with reception to follow and interment at Slocan Park Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Iskra Publications in Natalie's honour.
Thank you to the staff at Talarico Care Center, Dr. Ellen Smart and the Castlegar Funeral Chapel for looking after Natalie with such compassion and care.
