With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nayda Zaytsoff at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her parents William and Polly Laren, her husband Larry and son Billy, her brothers Larry and Mike, and sisters Molly, Grace and Polly. She leaves behind her daughter Marcella McKenzie and son Rodney (Kelly) Zaytsoff, eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Nayda was born in Crescent Valley, BC and eventually settled in Pass Creek with her husband Larry, where they raised their three children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was well known for her cooking and green thumb in the garden. Her soups and Russian cuisine were legendary! She loved her hobby farm of chickens, turkeys, ducks and goats and made great use of her orchard. She loved fishing and laughing with old friends.
She will be deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place.
The family would like to acknowledge the professional care and support of the staff at Rosewood Village that provided a welcoming, family environment for Nayda over the last six months. A very special thank you also goes out to the Greater Trail Hospice Society for their support.
