Neva Evdokimoff, age 48, a resident of Kelowna, B.C.,passed away unexpectedly May 24, 2016 in Trail, B.C.

She is survived by her immediate family: parents Paul and Shirley, brother Andrei, his partner Tasha, and nephew Aleksei, along with a large extended family of aunts and uncles, their children, and their grandchildren.

Neva attended Stanley Humphreys Secondary School as well as Okanagan College where she graduated from the Dental Assisting Program.

She loved spending time with family and friends, visiting art galleries, attending music festivals, farmer’s markets, and touring heritage homes. She loved to mountain bike and hike with friends on the trails of Kelowna. She possessed natural artistic talent when it came to painting, drawing, decorating, and flower arranging. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend, always willing to help those closest to her whether it was maintaining a community garden, coordinating and attending appointments for her mother and father, or bargain shopping trying to save people money.

She is on a new journey now and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A special thanks to all of the West Kootenay and East Kootenay Search and Rescue volunteers, the Trail RCMP, and friends and family for their time and dedication in her search. Your commitment and compassion during a difficult time was appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 9, 2016 at 11 am at the Junction Church, 2840 Eden Road South Slocan, BC (Corner of Eden Rd and Garden Rd – the old Playmor Hall). In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you please donate to the Local Kootenays Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association - http://www.kootenays.cmha.bc.ca/get-involved/donate
