Nicole was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, Auntie and friends to many. Nicole loved everything the outdoors had to offer, especially hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, camping kayaking and quadding.
Nicole and her husband spent many years with search and rescue. She was awarded the Golden Eye award for spotting a down aircraft. Nicole loved to live life and has sadly left us doing what she loved.
She worked at Celgar pulp mill and was a heavy duty machine operator. Nicole would often refer to the job as being able to play with life size Tonka trucks.
Nicole has left behind the love of her life, Tim Pytel and two sons: Dawson – 6, Chase – 3, along with her two fuzzy companions: Cooper and Lexy, mother Laurie Hickling (Tony), father: Manuel Rodrigues (Karleen), brother Travis Rodrigues (Larissa), nieces: Sydney and Cecilia, father-in-law David Pytel, brother-in-law Derek Pytel and grandmother Anne Johnson.
Nicole’s life was celebrated, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Castlegar complex with family and friends.
