In loving memory ~
Pearl Violet (Frobel) Harper, 90, passed away in Medicine Hat Hospital with family by her side on Saturday, 23 July 2022.
Pearl and Glenn Harper were looking forward to their 67th Anniversary this year, however, Pearl's dementia finally took her to heaven .
Pearl is survived by her husband Glenn, and her son Bradly and two daughters Cynthia and Patricia. Pearl still has an older sister Doris in BC and is predeceased by her other sister Helen, parents Ida and Otto Frobel and her son Matthew. Pearl when she was younger loved to sing and won several awards at the Stratford Musical Festival. She loved to garden, build and make wooden animals to display around their property. She was gifted in any art project she created including the numerous crocheting blankets and items she made.
Much of her adult life she followed her husband around the world when he was in the Canadian Military. They settled and bought a house in Slocan Park, BC where they lived for over 45 years. Pearl belonged to the church, Community Centre, Co-op and Slocan Valley Seniors. In 2019 Pearl and Glenn moved to Castlegar as Pearl was less physically able to keep up with the 10 acres farm.
In 2021, Pearl and Glenn moved to Medicine Hat to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Pearl will be cremated at Cook Southland Funeral Home and some of her ashes will be spread on her parents graves located at First St John's Luthern Church, Seebach Hill, Ontario.
