September 17, 1927 - February 1, 2020
It is with sadness that the family of Philip Bonderoff announces his passing on February 1st, 2020.
Philip was born in Brilliant on September 17th, 1927. As a young boy Philip and his family moved to Salmo where he grew up and went to school. In 1950 Philip married Laura Rezansoff and together they raised three children, while Philip worked at the HB Mine near Salmo. In his early 40s, Philip completed a millwright apprenticeship going on to work in local sawmills as a millwright and maintenance foreman.
Philip enjoyed working on many building projects, whether it was a small addition or an entire sawmill. He was equally talented as a carpenter and metal fabricator. Basically, if it was broken, he could fix it. He had an analytical mind and enjoyed problem solving. Philip enjoyed fishing, golfing and later in life he enjoyed participating in the Seniors Games, and socializing and playing crib with his friends.
Philip is survived by his children Karan (John), Ken (Mary Anne) and Lenny, grandchildren Blaine, Taunya and Christie-Anne and great grandchildren Amanda, Tyler, Breanna, Camryn and Ashley. He is predeceased by his grandson Barry in 2014. At Philips request, there will not be any service.
Philip's family would like to thank Dr. Larocque and all the management and the amazing caring staff at Talarico Place. Words cannot say enough about the genuine compassionate loving care the staff at Talarico place gives all their residents. We are very thankful for all the staff taking such good care of our father while making him feel safe and comfortable.
