Philip Kanigan, formerly of Ootischenia, passed away on February 24th, 2022, at the age of 91. He was born March 6, 1930 and married Nellie C. Harasemow in 1953. After Nellie's passing, he remained in Ootischenia until 1994, then resided in West Kelowna for 27 years, with his companion Liz.
Philip worked at the local sawmill as a sawyer for 32 years. He was a member of the USCC and enjoyed gardening, wood carving, travelling and family gatherings. He is survived by sons Philip (May), Steven (Lorraine), daughter Larisa (Drew), brothers Walter (Vera), Mike (Mary), sister Olga (Joe), 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A family memorial will be held in Ootischenia, at a later date.
