It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ray Croteau. He started working in construction at an early age and only retired in 2015. He was always talking about getting back to work grading and paving.
His hobbies included watching sports and construction YouTube videos, all things high performance, snowmobiling and being outdoors working in the yard. He wanted to learn to fish and travel more often.
He is predeceased by his father George Louis Croteau, his brother Marcel Joseph Croteau and his grandson Brandon.
Ray is survived by his wife Fran Croteau, his mother Rose Schuman, his brothers; Paul (Pat) Croteau and Roland Croteau, his sister Alice Ponting, his children; Steven (Anita) Croteau, Brad (Michele) Croteau, Jason (Colleen) Croteau, Amber (Breck) Stewart and Crystal (Brian) Ferreira, his grandchildren; Tessa, Joel, Jordan, Jarred, Carlee, Christina, Carolyn, Celena, Kaelynn, Clinton, Meghan, Anthony, Jamie, Jeremy (and all of their spouses), 15 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ray's name may be made to Make a Wish Foundation at 112-2025 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC, V6J 1Z6 or online at www.makeawish.ca
