Feb 27, 1942 - Feb 2, 2018
In Memoriam - Robert Charles (Bob) King of Madeira Park, passed away at home on February 2, 2018, at the age of 75.

Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dorothy (Dot), daughters Sherri of Kamloops and Barb of Quesnel, step son Carl Walton of Penticton and step daughter Donna Walton of Edmonton, sisters Jeanette (Dale) Cassell and Marjorie (Midge) both of Kamloops, 3 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

Born to Charlie and Nellie (Peggy) King on February 27, 1942, Bob grew up in Castlegar with his two sisters, Jen and Midge, and his best friend Roger Toogood. There, as a young man, Bob began his trade as an instrument mechanic which took him to Quesnel in 1972. Bob spent his working years in the Pulp and Paper industry and later launched and ran a successful business (King's Electronics) in Quesnel, spanning some 20+ years.

One of Bob's biggest passions was fishing. For many years he took his boat, friends, and family on fishing trips in the inlets of the Bella Coola area. It was his love of boating and fishing that led him and Dot to retire in the Pender Harbour area in 2003. There Bob continued to enjoy his passion on the water with his boat, the "C" King.

A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob can be sent to the Pender Harbour & District Health Centre Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
