Rolf died peacefully in his sleep on September 5th. He had a 41 year career as a Marine Engineer, but his passion
was cooking.
Rolf is survived by his Wife Diane, Son Wayne Mercer (Rose, Brylee, Dante), Daughter Nikki, and Son Garry, Parents-in-law Jan & Betty deBruyn, Brother-in-law John deBruyn (Sally, Richard, Robert), Sisters-in-Law Sydney Mason (Bruce, Geoff, Ian), Mary deBruyn (Stephen, Arthur, Elaine), Cedar aka Kathy deBruyn (Ananda, Frances, Autumn, Keegan), and 7 great nieces. In Sweden Brothers Kent (Inger) and Gote (Britt), Stepsister Maiwor Nilsson (Boris, Thord, Ulrika), Step-Brother Leif Nilsson (Inga- Maj, Bjorn), Cousin Sven Eric Norlinder (Lena, Mattias), Cousin Lena Rutberg (Robert).
A Celebration of Rolf’s life will be held on Sept 18, 2010 at 11:00am,
in the Kootenay Room of the Sandman Inn,
in Castlegar, BC, at 1944 Columbia Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA of CNIB.
