January 13, 1969 – August 3, 2016

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Dale Buday.

Dale was born in Castlegar and grew up in Blueberry Creek. In his childhood, Dale spent his time outside of school camping, dirt biking and snowmobiling with his family. He was passionate about his music, most specifically heavy metal, trucks and vintage vehicles, hockey, and baseball. He worked for many years in local grocery stores and held other various jobs including tree falling with Asplundh, multiple positions with Venture Mechanical Systems, and most recently as a truck driver with Teck at the Fording River coal mine. He was also proud to have been a volunteer firefighter with the Blueberry Creek Fire Department. He was laid back, easy going, kind and humorous. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all.

Dale was survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons Evan and Kelly; parents Linda and Walter; brothers Steve (Vivian) and Michael (Margaret); nephew Nicholas; and niece Alysha.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for all of the expressions of love and support during this difficult time.

Please join us to share your memories of Dale on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Castlegar Community Complex, Selkirk Room from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Appetizers welcome but not necessary.
