December 17, 1946 - March 19, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Wife, Mother and Nana Sheila Jean Ferris. Sheila passed away on March 19, 2021 at 75 years of age, after a long battle with Vascular Dementia.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband Dennis Ferris, her children Jason Ferris and Michelle Truscott (Colin) and her Grandchildren Luke Sieber-Ferris, Kaden Howell and Charlize Howell. Sheila also leaves behind Brother Barry Martin (Kristine), Sisters Sue MacDonald (John), Pamela Cook (Andrew), Elaine McCartney (Brian) and Tracey Waygood, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed.
Sheila spent most of her time with family and close friends at the Arrow Yacht Club, sitting on the deck over looking the water, watching the humming birds and butterflies, all while sipping on a glass of white wine.
Every Winter season, Sheila and Dennis also loved to travel to their favorite place, Rincon De Guayabitos, Mexico with all of their fun loving friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ankenbauer and all the staff at Castleview Care Center for the great care, love and support that they showed Sheila and our family over the past year and a half; we are so very grateful.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. People wishing to honor Sheila's memory are encouraged to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of BC.
